Little Lucy

We have a few Lucys in our client database, so I call this lovely lady “Little Lucy” because she’s, well, little. Little Lucy was one of my very first clients when I was just one lone woman walking dogs and trying to make a go of pet care. Her Mom found me through Rover and here we are two-and-a-half years later.

Little Lucy is a jet black Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie) with a white smidge of goatee. Although, I would’ve put my money on an Affenpinscher. At 12-years-old, she has a few health concerns, but when she’s fired up, you’d never know. She’s just as spry as any spring chicken – when she feels like it.

Like any good woman, she has a marvelous shoe collection, which she sports throughout winter. In warmer weather, she’s more of a grounding kind of girl, preferring to go barefoot and absorb nature’s healing vibes. She is a top competitor on the United States Olympic Pooping Team, and she’s brought home the gold in the lightweight division on more than one occasion. She is a shining example of an American champion.

Some of Little Lucy’s hobbies include barking at the doorbell, hiding from her dog walker, and being invisible while in plain sight. She is so tiny and dark that she has a unique ability to blend in with her surroundings – a chameleon dog, if you will.

It’s impossible not to adore this little girl. She has wiggled her way into my heart, where she will remain for all time. I love you, Little Lucy!
